Skin Microneedling Sunshine Coast

ADVANCED MICRONEEDLING TREATMENTS IN COOLUM TO SMOOTH, FIRM AND REFRESH YOUR SKIN.

At SunCoast Skin Coolum, we offer advanced skin microneedling treatments designed to support the skin’s natural repair processes, improve texture, and promote overall skin quality. Also known as collagen induction therapy, this minimally invasive treatment is performed in a medical setting by our highly trained and experienced dermal therapist using precision technology.

Microneedling works by creating controlled micro-injuries to the surface of the skin using fine needles. These microscopic channels stimulate the body’s natural wound healing process, which may lead to improved collagen and elastin production over time. The result is skin that looks and feels smoother, firmer, and more even in tone. Learn more about the benefits of Microneedling here.

Our treatments are conducted in Coolum Beach and are customised for your skin type and individual concerns. We offer both traditional microneedling and advanced radiofrequency-assisted microneedling for those seeking enhanced rejuvenation benefits.

Microneedling may assist in managing a variety of skin concerns, including:

Fine lines and early signs of ageing

Mild acne scarring and post-inflammatory pigmentation

Uneven skin tone and texture

Enlarged pores

Mild skin laxity in delicate areas (face, neck, décolletage)

Because microneedling supports natural collagen synthesis, results are typically gradual and build over time with a series of treatments.

why do skin microneedling?

A Doctor-Led Approach to Skin Rejuvenation

At SunCoast Skin, your treatment is overseen and performed by a highly trained and experienced Dermal Therapist trained in skin health and procedural dermatology. This ensures each treatment plan is safe, personalised, and appropriate for your skin needs.

Before treatment, your doctor will conduct a detailed skin assessment and discuss your goals, medical history, and expectations. We also offer pre- and post-care guidance to support your skin throughout the process.

What to Expect

The treatment is typically well tolerated. Our Dermal Therapist is highly efficient, and takes all care to minimise discomfort during the treatment process. The session lasts around 10–15 minutes, depending on the treatment area.  This is then followed by a relaxing, rejuvenating LED session to aid in healing.

After your treatment, you may experience mild redness, sensitivity, or a sunburn-like sensation for 24–48 hours. Most individuals can return to normal activities the next day, though some visible skin shedding may occur in the days following.

Results develop gradually as collagen production improves. For best outcomes, a series of 3–4 treatments spaced several weeks apart is usually recommended, based on your doctor’s assessment.

Safe, Evidence-Based Treatment

Skin microneedling is supported by clinical evidence as a minimally invasive treatment that stimulates the skin’s repair processes. At SunCoast Skin, we use sterile, medical-grade devices and adhere to strict hygiene and procedural standards. Your treatment is adjusted based on your skin type, Fitzpatrick classification, and individual skin sensitivity to ensure comfort and safety.

Skin needling uses fine needles to create micro-channels in the skin, stimulating natural collagen production to support smoother texture and tone. RF needling adds radiofrequency energy to this process, delivering gentle heat below the surface to further support collagen and improve skin firmness. RF is often chosen for concerns like skin laxity or deeper acne scarring, while traditional microneedling is ideal for refining pores and early signs of ageing.
